Frequently asked questions
How do I cancel or manage my subscription?
Bedrock subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple through your Apple Account. To cancel or switch plans:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Tap Bedrock, then choose a different plan or tap Cancel Subscription.
Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
Apple's step-by-step guide: How to cancel a subscription from Apple.
How does the free trial work?
New subscribers can start with a 7-day free trial that includes everything. While it runs, Today shows a small "Trial · Day N of 7" marker.
When the trial ends, your plan continues automatically: Bedrock Yearly at $49.99 a year, or Bedrock Monthly at $9.99 a month. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when the trial ends. To avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before your trial ends (see above).
Prices are shown in US dollars and may vary by country or region. The free trial is for new subscribers only. If you buy a subscription during a free trial, any unused part of the trial ends.
How do I restore my purchase on a new or reset iPhone?
Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you used to subscribe, then open Bedrock and tap Restore Purchases on the subscription screen. Your subscription is tied to your Apple Account, so you don't need a Bedrock login.
Restoring brings back your subscription, not your progress. Your progress and notes are stored only on the iPhone you used (see "Where is my data?" below).
Can I get a refund?
Apple handles all payments for Bedrock, so refunds are requested from Apple, not from us. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, choose Request a refund, and select the Bedrock purchase. Apple decides on refund requests.
How do I change my reminder time?
Bedrock sends one quiet reminder a day, at 8:30 AM by default. To change it:
- In Bedrock, go to Profile › Your Plan › Reminders.
- Pick a new time, or turn Daily reminder off. Reset to 8:30 AM puts the default back.
Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone itself; nothing is sent from a server. If they don't arrive, check that notifications are allowed for Bedrock in iPhone Settings › Notifications › Bedrock.
Today's page says "Today's page is on its way." What now?
This means today's page hasn't finished loading yet. You don't need to do anything: Bedrock checks again on its own, and you can tap Try again at any time. Yesterday's work still counts.
If you see "You're offline.", connect to Wi-Fi or cellular data. Each day's page needs a connection the first time it opens. Once it's loaded, it stays on your phone.
Bedrock unlocks one day at a time, so you'll only ever see today and the days you've already done. If a page still won't load after a while, email us.
How do I lock the Cycle Tracker with Face ID?
The Cycle Tracker is under Profile › Tools. To require Face ID before it opens, go to Profile › Account › Privacy & app lock and turn on the lock. The lock is optional.
The Cycle Tracker gives rough estimates only. It isn't a medical device and must never be used for birth control.
Your data stays on your iPhone
- No account. There's no sign-up, no login and no password. Your subscription is handled by your Apple Account.
- Stored on your device only. Your progress, notes and private tools, including all Cycle Tracker data, stay on your iPhone. There are no ads and no tracking.
- Deleting the app deletes your data. Removing Bedrock erases everything it stored on your iPhone. Because we never had a copy, we can't recover it for you.
- Daily pages are a read-only download. Bedrock downloads each day's page without sending anything that identifies you.
